Hypnosis is a natural, receptive brainwave state that allows us to change old patterns, habits and beliefs that are limiting our lives. Hypnosis can be described as focus+imagination+suggestion. We go in and out of hypnotic states throughout the day, including upon awakening and right before sleep.

Anyone who wants to be hypnotized can be hypnotized, given they have an I.Q. over 70 and do not have a severe mental illness diagnosis. All hypnosis is actually self-hypnosis. The hypnotist is there to guide the experience, but the client uses their own focus and imagination to make it happen! You are in the driver’s seat. People who are good at hypnosis are creative, curious, intelligent, and adventuresome. And if someone has a habit of worrying, they are already a pro at self-hypnosis without realizing it!

Yes, and in fact for most people it is more relaxing to enjoy it from the comfort of home, without dealing with traffic, parking or weather. All you need is a computer, phone, laptop or Ipad to use Zoom, and setting it up so that we can see each other while you’re seated or reclining comfortably.

Nope. It is a natural brainwave state, similar to daydreaming. We can easily choose to leave a hypnotic state when we desire to do so.

It is like going to the same neighborhood in your brain (alpha or theta brain wave state), therefore it can feel similar to it. However, when in that neighborhood, hypnosis differs in that we are using specific transformative hypnotic language to create the shifts the client desires.

Hypnosis doesn’t make people do things they don’t want to do, despite the stage shows you may have seen with people looking goofy.
